ITINERARY
• Morning departure from Medjugorje.
A short drive through picturesque Herzegovinian landscapes.
• Mostar: History in the Palm of Your Hand and Mosque Visit.
Meet your local guide to begin the tour. We will visit the Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque, where you will hear the story of Islamic art and enjoy the panorama of the Old Bridge from the mosque’s courtyard. Continue the walk across the Old Bridge (UNESCO) through Kujundžiluk, accompanied by stories of brave divers and ancient crafts.
• Traditional Herzegovinian Lunch.
Enjoy a rich lunch in the heart of the Old Town. Taste the best of local cuisine – Herzegovinian sarmice, ćevapi, or fresh trout, served with traditional sides and desserts.
• Blagaj: Nature and Mysticism.
A short drive (15 min) to Blagaj. Tour the Buna Spring, one of the largest and most beautiful karst springs in Europe. Right next to the source sits the famous 16th-century Dervish Tekke (monastery). You will have the opportunity to feel the incredible peace of this place where white cliffs, blue water, and the mystical history of the Dervish order meet.
• Free Time in Blagaj.
Time for coffee by the Buna River, shopping for local honey and medicinal herbs, or taking photos in front of the cave from which the river emerges.
• Return to Medjugorje.
Arrival at the starting point in the early evening.
