Dear pilgrims, dear friends,
Before us lies an exceptional and spiritually rich journey, carefully designed to introduce us to the most renowned shrines in the world and the brightest examples of Christian history and faith.
This pilgrimage is far from a mere tourist visit; it is a journey of the heart and soul, dedicated to deepening our personal faith and honoring those saints whose lives and deeds continue to inspire us powerfully today.
Through this unique experience, we will have the opportunity to venerate and pray at places where the history of the Church was written and strengthened, connecting the pearls of the Adriatic with the splendor of Italy’s magnificent cities.
We wish to carry in our hearts the silence of Zadar and prayer before Saint Simeon, the humility of Saint Leopold Mandić, and the firm faith of Saint Justina and Saint Anthony of Padua. Before Saint Mark in Venice we will feel the strength of the Gospel, and at the Trsat Shrine, the grace of Our Lady of Trsat.
Our pilgrimage begins in Zadar, where we will venerate the priceless treasure of our faith – the body of Saint Simeon, the elder who held the Child Jesus in his arms. This invaluable relic is kept in the Shrine of Saint Simeon in Zadar, where we will have the opportunity not only to venerate the relic but also to learn about the history of the shrine and how Saint Simeon chose this very city, and to celebrate Holy Mass. After free time for lunch, our journey continues to Padua.
In this magnificent city, we will visit the home of Saint Anthony, protector of the poor and miracle worker, and the home of Saint Leopold Mandić, one of our greatest saints, patron of confessors and the sick, where we will celebrate Holy Mass. We will also visit the Church of Saint Justina, an early Christian martyr and one of the largest basilicas in the world.
An unavoidable destination of our pilgrimage is the enchanting Venice, where we will pay homage to Saint Mark the Evangelist and Saint Zechariah, father of John the Baptist, and celebrate Holy Mass. We will also have the opportunity to stroll through Venice’s beautiful squares and enjoy a boat ride along the Grand Canal.
On our return, another jewel of Croatia awaits us – the Shrine of Our Lady of Trsat. This is the oldest Croatian shrine, also known as the “Croatian Nazareth,” visited among others by Saint John Paul II.
